Finding the right fit matters. You can explore each therapist’s areas of expertise, approaches, and experience to see who feels aligned with your needs. If you’re unsure, scheduling a consultation can help you ask questions and get a sense of whether it feels like a good match.
That’s completely okay. Therapy can help clarify what’s feeling difficult and what you’d like support with. You don’t need a clear plan before starting — figuring that out together is part of the process.
The first session is a chance to talk about what brought you to therapy, ask questions, and get a feel for how sessions might look moving forward. There’s no pressure to share everything at once. The focus is on creating a comfortable, supportive starting point.
We offer direct billing with select insurance providers. If direct billing isn’t available for your plan, you’ll receive a receipt that can be submitted to your insurer for reimbursement.
Frequently asked questions
Hi, I'm
Laura
I bring a deep respect for resilience, lived experience, and personal strength into my work as a therapist. After serving 20 years as an RCMP officer, I developed a strong understanding of trauma, crisis, and the realities faced by first responders and those navigating high-stress environments. I am passionate about supporting individuals through meaningful change.
My own experiences with relocation, divorce, healing, and co-parenting have shaped how I show up in the therapy space. I understand how life transitions can challenge identity, stability, and emotional well-being, and I bring compassion and openness to those facing similar moments in their lives.
My approach is person-centred and collaborative, grounded in empathy, authenticity, and a deep respect for each individual’s story. I believe clients are the experts in their own lives, and my role is to create a safe, supportive space where they feel seen, heard, and empowered to make change that feels right for them.
