Areas of expertise

The primary areas this therapist specializes in and has focused experience working with in their clinical practice.

Therapeutic approaches

The therapeutic approaches and methods this therapist may draw from in their work, tailored to each individual.

  • Finding the right fit matters. You can explore each therapist’s areas of expertise, approaches, and experience to see who feels aligned with your needs. If you’re unsure, scheduling a consultation can help you ask questions and get a sense of whether it feels like a good match.

  • That’s completely okay. Therapy can help clarify what’s feeling difficult and what you’d like support with. You don’t need a clear plan before starting — figuring that out together is part of the process.

  • The first session is a chance to talk about what brought you to therapy, ask questions, and get a feel for how sessions might look moving forward. There’s no pressure to share everything at once. The focus is on creating a comfortable, supportive starting point.

  • We offer direct billing with select insurance providers. If direct billing isn’t available for your plan, you’ll receive a receipt that can be submitted to your insurer for reimbursement.

Frequently asked questions

Hi, I'm

Tyler

I believe therapy can be a powerful space for growth, healing, and self-discovery—especially when you feel supported and understood. My approach is compassionate, welcoming, and grounded in meeting people where they are, even when the work feels challenging or unfamiliar.

I hold a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology and support individuals aged 12 and older. As an Indigenous man from Pabineau First Nation, I value incorporating Indigenous principles into my work, offering a perspective on healing that honours connection, balance, and lived experience alongside therapeutic practice. This lens allows me to support clients in ways that extend beyond traditional Western approaches.

I often remind clients that growth can require stepping outside of our comfort zones—but you don’t have to do that alone. I’m here to support you as you become comfortable with the uncomfortable, at a pace that feels respectful and safe.

I work with individuals navigating addiction, trauma and intergenerational trauma, grief and loss, and challenges related to self-esteem and self-compassion. My goal is to be a steady, supportive presence as you move toward greater clarity, resilience, and self-understanding.
