Can assist with
Therapeutic approaches

The therapeutic approaches and methods this therapist may draw from in their work, tailored to each individual.

  • Finding the right fit matters. You can explore each therapist’s areas of expertise, approaches, and experience to see who feels aligned with your needs. If you’re unsure, scheduling a consultation can help you ask questions and get a sense of whether it feels like a good match.

  • That’s completely okay. Therapy can help clarify what’s feeling difficult and what you’d like support with. You don’t need a clear plan before starting — figuring that out together is part of the process.

  • The first session is a chance to talk about what brought you to therapy, ask questions, and get a feel for how sessions might look moving forward. There’s no pressure to share everything at once. The focus is on creating a comfortable, supportive starting point.

  • We offer direct billing with select insurance providers. If direct billing isn’t available for your plan, you’ll receive a receipt that can be submitted to your insurer for reimbursement.

Frequently asked questions

Hi, I'm

Stacey

I have always been a helper at heart.

Before starting my journey to becoming a therapist, my life took me through a lot of different roles: military spouse, mom, writer, advocate, caregiver, student, and the person who is often asking, “Okay, but how are you doing?” Through all of them, I have come to believe deeply in the importance of having a space where you don’t have to perform, hold everything together, or have the right words for what you’re going through.

My approach to counselling is grounded in compassion, curiosity, and the belief that people make sense when we take the time to understand the whole story.

I am especially passionate about working with those struggling with caregiver burnout and neurodivergent individuals, including those who may have spent years feeling like they are “too much,” “not enough,” or simply trying to function in systems that weren’t designed with their brains in mind. I also have a particular interest in supporting people experiencing caregiver burnout, trauma, anxiety, depression, overwhelm, and major life transitions.

That said, you do not need to fit neatly into one of those boxes to work with me. I welcome clients from all backgrounds and walks of life. You also don’t need to arrive at counselling knowing exactly what is wrong or what you want to work on. Sometimes, “I’m exhausted and I don’t know what to do anymore” is more than enough of a starting point.

As a military spouse and mom, I understand that life can be complicated, unpredictable, messy, and demanding. As a writer, I am fascinated by the stories we tell about ourselves and how those stories are shaped by what we have survived, what others have expected from us, and the ways we have learned to cope.

Above all else, I want to offer a space where you can feel heard without judgment and supported without being told who you are supposed to be. My goal is not to “fix” you. It is to walk alongside you as we make sense of what you are carrying, recognize the strengths that may be difficult to see right now, and help you extend some of the compassion you so readily give to others back toward yourself.

I am currently completing my counselling practicum, and sessions with me are available for $50. Please note that, as I am a counselling intern, my services are not covered by insurance.
