Areas of expertise

The primary areas this therapist specializes in and has focused experience working with in their clinical practice.

Additional concerns and challenges this therapist is able to support, depending on your needs, goals, and circumstances.

Can assist with
Therapeutic approaches

The therapeutic approaches and methods this therapist may draw from in their work, tailored to each individual.

  • Finding the right fit matters. You can explore each therapist’s areas of expertise, approaches, and experience to see who feels aligned with your needs. If you’re unsure, scheduling a consultation can help you ask questions and get a sense of whether it feels like a good match.

  • That’s completely okay. Therapy can help clarify what’s feeling difficult and what you’d like support with. You don’t need a clear plan before starting — figuring that out together is part of the process.

  • The first session is a chance to talk about what brought you to therapy, ask questions, and get a feel for how sessions might look moving forward. There’s no pressure to share everything at once. The focus is on creating a comfortable, supportive starting point.

  • We offer direct billing with select insurance providers. If direct billing isn’t available for your plan, you’ll receive a receipt that can be submitted to your insurer for reimbursement.

Frequently asked questions

Hi, I'm

Paula

Before beginning my journey as a therapist, I built a diverse career centred around people and community. I served for many years with the Canadian Armed Forces, worked in leadership and coaching roles, supported individuals navigating employment and return-to-work challenges, and spent years volunteering and giving back to my community.

Throughout all of those roles, one theme has remained constant: people. ❤️

Listening to them. Encouraging them. Helping them recognize their strengths. Walking alongside them during periods of uncertainty and change.

Becoming a therapist is a natural continuation of that journey for me.

I bring warmth, compassion, maturity and a genuine desire to help people heal and move forward. My extensive life experience also gives me a unique understanding that people are so much more than the challenges they may be facing.

And because I'm completing my practicum, sessions with me are available for $50, making therapy more accessible to individuals who may otherwise find cost to be a barrier.

Please note, that my services are not covered by insurance.
