Finding the right fit matters. You can explore each therapist’s areas of expertise, approaches, and experience to see who feels aligned with your needs. If you’re unsure, scheduling a consultation can help you ask questions and get a sense of whether it feels like a good match.
That’s completely okay. Therapy can help clarify what’s feeling difficult and what you’d like support with. You don’t need a clear plan before starting — figuring that out together is part of the process.
The first session is a chance to talk about what brought you to therapy, ask questions, and get a feel for how sessions might look moving forward. There’s no pressure to share everything at once. The focus is on creating a comfortable, supportive starting point.
We offer direct billing with select insurance providers. If direct billing isn’t available for your plan, you’ll receive a receipt that can be submitted to your insurer for reimbursement.
Frequently asked questions
Hi, I'm
Lisa
I believe meaningful change begins when you feel safe enough to be honest—with yourself and with someone who’s really listening. My work is grounded in empathy, connection, and the belief that we all carry an inner wisdom that deserves space and care.
Before opening my own practice, I spent 15 years working in counselling within government settings. In 2021, I chose to step away and build something more aligned with my values and the needs of my community. I hold a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and am trained in EMDR therapy.
My own journey toward self-acceptance has shaped how I show up as a therapist. I’m known for being attentive, nurturing, and honest, and I believe that beneath our differences, we’re all seeking understanding, love, and belonging.
Outside of my work, I’m a proud mother, step-mother, and wife. You may also meet Chip—my dog—who occasionally joins me at the office and reminds us all to slow down and take care.
