Areas of expertise

The primary areas this therapist specializes in and has focused experience working with in their clinical practice.

Therapeutic approaches

The therapeutic approaches and methods this therapist may draw from in their work, tailored to each individual.

  • Finding the right fit matters. You can explore each therapist’s areas of expertise, approaches, and experience to see who feels aligned with your needs. If you’re unsure, scheduling a consultation can help you ask questions and get a sense of whether it feels like a good match.

  • That’s completely okay. Therapy can help clarify what’s feeling difficult and what you’d like support with. You don’t need a clear plan before starting — figuring that out together is part of the process.

  • The first session is a chance to talk about what brought you to therapy, ask questions, and get a feel for how sessions might look moving forward. There’s no pressure to share everything at once. The focus is on creating a comfortable, supportive starting point.

  • We offer direct billing with select insurance providers. If direct billing isn’t available for your plan, you’ll receive a receipt that can be submitted to your insurer for reimbursement.

Frequently asked questions

Hi, I'm

Kim

With over 25 years of experience in coaching and helping professions, I have supported individuals and couples in achieving meaningful personal, professional, lifestyle, health, and financial goals. As a Clinical Social Worker and therapist, I am deeply committed to providing care through a trauma-informed lens, creating a safe and supportive space for healing and growth.

I am also a trained mindfulness teacher and integrate evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) with a holistic, mindfulness-based perspective. My approach is empathetic, collaborative, and non-judgmental. I take the time to truly understand who you are—your values, your experiences, and your goals—so we can work together in a way that feels authentic and effective for you.

My own personal and professional journey toward self-acceptance has profoundly shaped how I show up as a therapist. It allows me to connect with clients in a genuine and compassionate way, meeting you where you are while supporting you in moving forward.

In addition to my clinical work, I am the author of a children’s book focused on self-love, anti-bullying, and self-acceptance. I also bring a unique background in the business and financial sector, which enables me to support clients navigating financial stress, accessing government resources, and understanding supports such as the Disability Tax Credit, CPP Disability, and the Canada Disability Benefit.

I work with individuals experiencing trauma, mental health challenges, caregiver burnout, grief and loss, and difficulties related to self-esteem and self-compassion. I also work with couples and have experience supporting Indigenous populations.

My goal is to be an honest, supportive presence as you move toward healing, resilience, self-compassion, and the meaningful goals you want to achieve in your life
