Finding the right fit matters. You can explore each therapist’s areas of expertise, approaches, and experience to see who feels aligned with your needs. If you’re unsure, scheduling a consultation can help you ask questions and get a sense of whether it feels like a good match.
That’s completely okay. Therapy can help clarify what’s feeling difficult and what you’d like support with. You don’t need a clear plan before starting — figuring that out together is part of the process.
The first session is a chance to talk about what brought you to therapy, ask questions, and get a feel for how sessions might look moving forward. There’s no pressure to share everything at once. The focus is on creating a comfortable, supportive starting point.
We offer direct billing with select insurance providers. If direct billing isn’t available for your plan, you’ll receive a receipt that can be submitted to your insurer for reimbursement.
Frequently asked questions
Hi, I'm
Joëlle
I bring over 20 years of experience as a Resource Teacher, supported by a Bachelor’s degree in Education and a Master’s in Resource Teaching. Throughout my career, I’ve worked closely with children with diverse learning needs, including learning disabilities, ADHD, ASD, intellectual disabilities, anxiety, behavioural challenges, as well as gifted and talented learners.
I’m deeply passionate about supporting children and families as they navigate the educational system. I understand how overwhelming and emotional this journey can be, and I focus on offering clear guidance, encouragement, and practical strategies tailored to each child’s strengths and needs.
My approach is caring, personalized, and collaborative. I place a strong emphasis on building autonomy, self-esteem, listening skills, and social competencies, helping children develop confidence and tools they can carry with them beyond the classroom. My goal is to support every child in reaching their full potential in a way that feels empowering and respectful.
